What You Need To Know About Tickets, Artist Booth Talks, Parking and More

The Woodlands, TX—[Oct. 30, 2024 ]— The inaugural Texas Fine Craft Show is just around the corner! Held at The Westin Hotel in The Woodlands, on November 1, 2 & 3, 2024, this unique event is a boutique shopping experience showcasing exquisite fine craft from artists across the country. Whether you are an avid collector, a casual art lover, or looking for a creative weekend plan, here's everything you need to know to get the most out of your experience.

Friday, November 1: 5 PM - 9 PM (Cheers! opening event; ticket includes weekend access)
Saturday, November 2: 10 AM - 5 PM
Sunday, November 3: 12 PM - 5 PM
Location: The Westin Hotel, 2 Waterway Square Pl, The Woodlands, TX 77380

1. Complimentary Parking & Convenient Access
Enjoy complimentary parking at the Waterway Square Parking Garage (1505 Lake Robbins Drive The Woodlands, TX 77380), courtesy of Howard Hughes.
For those seeking additional convenience, paid valet parking is available through The Westin Hotel. Attendees can also ride The Woodlands Township Trolley for free from The Woodlands Mall or Hughes Landing.

2. Admission and Ticketing
Tickets can only be purchased online through this link. Plan ahead and secure your admission in advance.

3. Venue and Accessibility Information
The Texas Fine Craft Show will be held in the downstairs ballroom at The Westin Hotel. The Westin provides a chic, climate-controlled setting perfect for exploring and purchasing exquisite fine craftwork.

4. Respectful Photography & Social Media Sharing
Cameras, cell phones, and other non-professional photography equipment are allowed inside of the show. You can take pictures of the event and the beautiful craftwork —but please ask the artist’s permission first before taking photos of their fine craft.

5. Diversity of mediums
Attendees will have the opportunity to admire and shop a variety of mediums from more than 40 world-class artists from across the nation, including ceramics, decorative fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, paper, wearable art, and wood.

6. Complimentary Art Storage for Purchases
For those purchasing fine crafts, the Texas Fine Craft Show provides a secure area to store your newly acquired pieces until you’re ready to head home, so you can continue exploring the rest of the show without carrying large or fragile items.

7. Making Art Matter
When you attend the Texas Fine Craft Show, you are Making Art Matter. Your support of fine craft artists and our creative economy means the mission of The Woodlands Arts Council will continue to thrive in 2025 and beyond. The show's proceeds support our successful Microgrant Program, which benefits arts educators, organizations, students, and independent artists in The Woodlands and Montgomery County. Together we make art matter every day.

8. Booth Talks: Get Up Close with the Artists
Discover the stories behind the artists with our Booth Talks sessions. Saturday and Sunday, various artists will share their journeys and insights, providing an opportunity to learn and listen to their experiences directly from them.

11 AM: Journey of the Metalsmiths with Melanie Schlossberg, exploring the creative synergy of dynamic designs.
12 PM: Making Swamp Critters with Tiffany Nesbit, highlighting the creation of sculptural and functional ceramic pieces.
1 PM: A Journey in Jewelry with Jonathon Stopper, focusing on the transition from gemstone cutting to goldsmithing.
2 PM: The Art of Sustainable Fiber Sculptures with Jeanne Akita, delving into the ancient technique of felting.
3 PM: From a Block of Wood to Art with Bob Bruu, showcasing his creative process in wood carving.

Sunday, November 3, 2024
1 PM: What is Custom Jewelry? with Denise Fletcher, examining the difference between custom and retail jewelry.
2 PM: The Inside Scoop with Carol Berger, reflecting on the human connection in ceramic art.
3 PM: Dimensions - Silk Ribbon Embroidery with Leslee McFerren, highlighting the craft of silk ribbon embroidery.
4 PM: Painting With Glass with Cindy Cherrington, explaining her technique of using glass to create layered art.
