6th Grade Art Field Trip to Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts. 200 Students went on docent led tours and explored 4 artist with all different media. Students answered questions and had great art conversations. Students were also able to create art, inspired by one of the artists featured at the museum. Students then enjoyed lunch at the park before returning to school.
"Most of our students wouldn't have the experience of visiting a museum and getting up close to the art, much less a docent led tour. They learned so much and were able to see different styles. We happened to be visiting when a local artist was featured. She came from a local low economic neighborhood. I believe the kids related to this art and the scenes were familiar. They now understand that even they can be featured at a museum one day." -Dorinda Lee, Bozman Intermediate
