For two decades, the Art Dash Party has been a thrilling prelude to The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, where guests DASH and claim their favorite piece of art in just one minute. The artwork, generously donated by a selection of exhibiting festival artists, encompasses a variety of mediums, including sculptures, fiber arts, drawings, paintings, and photography, among others.
"The Art Dash Party is an exhilarating experience, blending the chance to give back while selecting a piece of extraordinary art in just sixty seconds! The art truly resonates with you in that moment. We are thankful to the artists who have graciously donated their work to this event," says Jenny Carattini-Wright, TWAC’s Executive Director & CEO.
Beyond the excitement, the Art Dash Party’s proceeds support TWAC's Student Art Scholarship program. Maria Holmes, 2025 Interim President, shares, "In the past 20 years, we have awarded over $481,000 to 283 students. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedicated Dashers at the event!"
Curator Annette Palmer highlights the significance of this exhibition: "It showcases a wide array of art from a remarkable festival community of outstanding artists. This art is treasured by those who had to dash! Celebrating this 20-year milestone is essential, as it highlights the success and contributions this event has made to our community."
This exhibition is a tribute to 20 Years of Making Art Matter, celebrating the incredible artists, passionate art lovers, and devoted partners who have supported The Woodlands Arts Council. It honors this milestone and reflects on the creativity, generosity, and shared experiences that have defined the Art Dash Party over the past two decades.
