Be A Fan
From sheet copper my designs start with a spiral shape which is magical to me. I raise a synclastic curve into each arm of the sculpture which, by design, allows the sculpture to catch wind like a kite as the arms are stretched and fixed into position. As a mechanical engineer my pieces are ongoing studies in wind turbine design, as my work is well suited to generating electricity.
