Art Feel

Art Feel

April 25, 2018 7P (Wednesday)

Crush Wine Lounge · 20 Waterway Avenue

In spotlight is Stardust, an art bench by Elizabeth Akamatsu with underwriters Brenda and Dr. David Gottlieb.

ARTFEEL LIVE will be a fundraiser for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man & Woman of The Year’s Campaign Candidate Holly Baus Price of Woodlands Hits. LLS will be on hand to take donations of any kind during the event from the audience. Programming will have slight adjustments with Holly interspersing blood cancer statistics throughout the artfeels, some (not all) of which will be cancer testimonials and 2 LLS Children of the Year will be doing art therapy with their parents during the event and we’ll auction it off during the show. We’ll be inviting media to this event.

No cover, free validated parking and half-price appetizers all night.

ARTFEEL is blog on Facebook and the The Woodlands Arts Council website that prompts the community to engage with its vast collection of public art. Every month, ARTFEEL asks residents how a specific piece of public art makes them feel – their ARTFEEL. Local artist Nickole Kerner Bobley shares her feelings to get the conversation going. Then, the last Wednesday of every month at The Crush Wine Lounge we offer-up a stage and mic for Woodlands area residents to attend ARTFEEL LIVE, a one hour show, where storytellers, musicians, dancers and poets offer up creative expression prompted by the artwork in spotlight. The rules are there are no rules and that is the fun. Let’s see what happens when we talk about art!
